New charity rugby team launched

Bristol Wanderers, a new charity rugby team, have set themselves a target of raising at least £5000 for Children's Hospice South West in their first year.

Establised by Paul Beet along with former Bristol players Simon Martin and Mark Irish, the Wanderers will play around four games a season in the West Country. Former Ireland, Bristol and Bath centre Kevin Maggs, along with current Bristol favourite Mariano Sambucetti, have agreed to become charity ambassadors for the Wanderers and both will be pulling on their boots to make an appearance for the side, along with an array of other former internationals and professionals.
